Teaching mathematics using the Frayer model and its effect on the achievement of fourth-grade science students
Abstract
The aim of the research is to Know the effect of using the Fryer model on the achievement of fourth - grade science students. in mathematics . A single null hypothesis to verify the hypothesis .A purposiv of fourth-grade science students at Homs Preparatory School for Girls in the city of Mosul for the academic year (2023-2024). The number was (67) students, divided into two groups, one of which was an experimental group of (33)students, and the other was a control groups of (34)students. The two groups in a number of variables. The experimental group was taught using the Fryer model, and the control group using the traditional method. The researcher prepared an achievement test consisting of (10) items, and was characterized by validity and reliability. The difficulty level, discriminatory power, and effectiveness of the alternatives were extracted, and were acceptable. The two groups started teaching on Tuesday (20/2/2024), It continued until Sunday (24/3/2024), and the achievement test was administered on Thursday (28/3/2024), "The results showed a statistically significant difference in achievement", In favor of the experimental group. In light of the research results, the researcher came up with a number of recommendations and suggestions
