The first axis contained the positive and negative items and their impact on social behavior, which numbered (20) items, with (10) paragraphs for the positive side and (10) representing the negative side, whereas the second axis included positive and negative items and their impact on academic achievement, which numbered (14) items, with (7) items for each side. The questionnaire was applied to a sample representing middle school teachers, numbering (110) male and female teachers, with (54) males and (56) females. The research relied on the social survey method, which is a descriptive and analytical research. The data was processed statistically. The research reached a number of results, the most important of which is that social networking sites have a positive and negative impact on the social behavior of students and their academic achievement, as they contributed to providing students with new information and knowledge, and encouraged dialogues and discussions, reading and perseverance, as well as developing creative thinking. As for its negative impact, it caused indifference and wastage of the time students spent browsing, in addition to violence, bullying, and violation of the privacy of others, as well as feelings of social isolation and loneliness. The phenomenon of tattoos, hookahs, and Western haircuts also spread among students, in addition to distracting students attention during lectures, neglecting study materials and assignments, and falling asleep during the lesson.
