The Disciplinary System for Members of the Professional Unions, the Pharmacist Union as a Model: A Comparative Study
Abstract
The study showed that the disciplinary violation of the members of professional unions arises as a result of a member of the union breaching its duties and the ethics of its profession. It requires the imposition of a disciplinary penalty against its among those penalties that are usually exclusively determined by the legislator, and by the competent disciplinary authority represented by the Disciplinary Council, and according to a set of procedures Disciplinary decisions and appeals that ensure the integrity of this disciplinary punishment, and under the supervision of the judiciary, which has the right to cancel the disciplinary decision whenever it is marred by a defect that may taint administrative decisions. Because of the importance of discipline in the field of trade union work, this study came to address this issue from various points of views, in terms of trade union disciplinary offense, trade union disciplinary punishment, the competent authority to discipline trade union members, and challenging the trade union disciplinary decision.
