Sustainable Infrastructure: Applications and Experiences from Reconstruction Council Projects in Mosul District (1951- 1958(
Abstract
In the 1950s, Mosul faced economic crises and rising unemployment due to its exclusion from national development projects. Public pressure led the government to include Mosul in its plans, resulting in progress across various sectors. The city saw the establishment of textile, sugar, and cement factories, along with improvements in education, healthcare, and services, notably the Cultural Complex, gradually enhancing living conditions.
