Study the mechanical and physical properties of an epoxy compound with polyurethane

This Search was done Preparation of polymeric composites of epoxy resin it is supported by areinforcement material polyurethane by manual casting by weight percentages (1%,3%,5%, 7%, 9% ,11%).

The research included studing the mechanica properties of the composite material (shock resistance, compressive resistance), The results showed that the shock resistance increases with the increase in the weight ratios of polyurethane. As for the compressive strength, it increases with increase in the weight ratio of poly urethane at 52◦ C, Compressive resistance decreases with increase in weight ratio of poly urethane at 22◦ C, Low thermal conductivity of epoxy backed with polyurethane compared with unreinforced epoxy.
