The Diversity of Morphological Forms and Their Meanings for the Roots (H B B and K R H) in the Holy Quran

Diversity in morphological forms is a key feature that enriches the language with abundant vocabulary and showcases its eloquence, as numerous words can emerge from a single root, each fitting its context harmoniously. This research explores how such diversity affects meaning production and its appropriateness for each context, focusing on two opposing roots in the Qur'an: H B B (love) and (K R H) (dislike). While the Qur'anic discourse equalizes these roots in the number of forms, there are differences in some types. These differences reflect the contrasting emotional causes: love arises from an emotional inclination toward comfort, while dislike is driven by aversion to something distressing. And Allah is All-Knowing

Dictionary of Semantic Evolution in Taj al-Lughah and Sihah al-Arabiyyah by al-Jawhari Generalization of meaning as an example

This research aims to create a specialized dictionary focused on semantic generalization, with its texts extracted from the book Tāj al-Lugha wa Ṣiḥāḥ al-ʿArabiyya by Ismail ibn Hammad al-Jawhari, who passed away around the year 400 AH. The entries in the dictionary are arranged alphabetically, and for each entry, we first mention the linguistic root, followed by the original meaning of the word before its semantic evolution, and then the meaning it acquired after the evolution. Before the dictionary section, we have dedicated a chapter to discussing the concept of generalization, providing examples cited in this field of linguistic development. Additionally, we have supported our discussion with further examples from the dictionary we have compiled

verb form in the Medinan surahs within the context of the Prophet's speech, analyzed rhetorically. Due to its rhetorical significance and impact on the context, the Qur'anic use of this verb form has emerged alongside rhetorical techniques and the variation in the speaker's style. The intended meanings within the context of the noble verses convey the message in a clear rhetorical manner. This study follows a rhetorical analytical approach. The study includes several findings, one of which is that the fa'ala form in the Qur'an is used for emphasis and affirmation, confirming the Prophet’s prophethood and that the Qur'an is from God.

Patterns of phrasal verbs in the book Ahkam al-Qur’an - Worship as an example

In our research (Patterns of the Phrasal Sentence in the Book of Ahkam Al-Qur’an - Worship as a Model) we talked about the Phrasal Sentence in the book (Ahkam Al-Qur’an according to Al-Jassas). The research was divided into two parts, as in the first section we dealt with (the theoretical framework for the research), in which we talked about the pattern and the sentence and defined With the acts of worship that included prayer, zakat, fasting, Hajj, and purity, then we were introduced to the book. As for the second section, it dealt with (the applied framework for the research), in which we talked about (phrasal sentence patterns) in the book (Ahkam Al-Qur’an according to Al-Jassas), as the sentence included various and different patterns.

Our research focuses on the study of verbal collocation in the verbal component, applied to some selected verbal expressions from the works of the author. The research is divided into four sections, each containing selected expressions that align in terms of the topic and structure. In the first section, the focus is on the expressions used from the mixed speech category, with two examples chosen. In the second section, three examples are selected from the category of prayers used in speech. The third section includes three examples taken from the category of actions. The last section is dedicated to the interpretation of expressions used in the dual form within speech. These divisions correspond to the structure of the author's work and are listed in the order in which they appear in the book

This research adopts the rhetorical analytical approach to examine instances of trait-related metaphorical expressions within their narrative contexts. Metaphor is not merely a means of conveying meaning through words that do not explicitly indicate their apparent referent; rather, it is a formulation of an idea that emerges from the author's inner perception. Thus, the words chosen for metaphorical structures are meticulously selected, ensuring that each term is placed precisely in its proper context, allowing the metaphor to overflow with profound meanings

Ellipsis follows specific conditions, with early scholars identifying eight rules and modern linguists adding two more. Implication naturally accompanies ellipsis, ensuring that omitted elements are understood based on context.

These phenomena manifest across different syntactic levels, playing a crucial role in linguistic structure. The study relies on both classical and modern sources to trace the origins and evolution of ellipsis and implication as interconnected features of scientific discourse

The reader of the Hamziyyah verses, known as Umm Al-Qura, by Al-Busiri (may Allah have mercy on him) will notice the use of inversion and rearrangement within its structures, with considerable variation. In this study, we have focused specifically on the fronting of the object before the subject. We found that this syntactic shift adds rhetorical elegance, granting the verses a unique beauty and charm. The study aims to identify instances of object fronting in the poem. Our choice of this particular poem was motivated by the fact that it has received little scholarly attention, prompting us to select and analyze specific examples from it

Antithesis is a universal phenomenon and an essential aspect of life, reflected in literature, where thought generally operates through dualities. One such duality is the dialogue between opposing and contrasting boundaries, which is the focus of our research. We examined antithetical dualities in Rasa’il Al-Ahzan by Al-Rafi‘i, exploring the concept linguistically and terminologically, as well as the notions of beauty and ugliness, along with a brief introduction to Al-Rafi‘i and his work.

The first chapter is titled The Subjective Approach to Beauty and Ugliness, while the second chapter is The Objective Approach to Beauty and Ugliness. In conclusion, we reached several key findings, which are presented in the research

This research aims to shed light on mnemonic reference; As an effective element in the memory construction of Najman Yassin’s stories; This is because of the historical and social references that are inherited and effective in the text, which the storyteller emptied into a narrative framework within a narrative entity. It was represented in two references that formed the patterns from which the storyteller’s vision begins, and the two references contributed to framing the process of interconnection between memory and story. We see in it past facts formulated in the style of the present, and the role of memory has emerged within the texts of reference. Because it is restricted and takes over the structure of the narrative text, and these references in general, we work to address them in a mnemonic manner. Because it is a recall of a past engraved in the memory of societies

We chose the jurisprudential issues in the chapter on acts of worship through his book, “Disclosing the Meanings of Al-Sihah = In the Doctrines of the Four Imams.” The book was originally an explanation of the Sahihs of Al-Bukhari and Muslim, after explaining the hadith of the best jurisprudence in religion. He spoke about the meaning of jurisprudence, and the discussion led him to mention issues. The jurisprudence that is agreed upon, and that there is disagreement among the four famous imams. After mentioning the opinions of jurists, he sometimes chooses and gives preference to some over others.

The effectiveness of the cognitive contradiction strategy in fourth-grade female students’ acquisition of grammatical concepts

The research aims to study the "effectiveness of the cognitive dissonance strategy in acquiring grammatical concepts" among fourth-grade preparatory school female students. The null hypothesis was tested, which states that there is a statistically significant difference between the average scores of the experimental group, which was taught using this strategy, and the control group, which was taught using the traditional method, in favor of the experimental group. A sample of 81 female students from the fourth scientific grade was selected and divided into two groups: experimental and control. A quasi-experimental design with equivalence between the groups was used. A test for acquiring grammatical concepts was prepared, and its validity and reliability were confirmed.
